Hollywood Smile

The road to a beautiful smile does not have to be long or hard!

A smile design is the process of improving the appearance of the smile through one or more cosmetic dentistry procedures. Some of the components taken into consideration include your facial appearance, skin tone, hair colour, teeth (colour, width, length, shape and tooth display), gum tissue and lips. Aesthetically pleasing and functional smile makeovers are performed for many reasons and customized to your unique expectations.

What is it that you like or dislike about your smile or your teeth?

Tooth Colour: After years of consuming coffee, soda, wine, tea and other coloured drinks and foods, the colour of your teeth will change. Another important factor for teeth discoloration is smoking and the use of other tobacco products. Teeth colour and shading are important factors during the evaluation and preparation for various procedures, including porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges, composite bonding and dental implants. Keep in mind that dark or discoloured teeth are aging your appearance. A well-shaped smile comprised of bright, white teeth offer a youthful appearance. The shade you select for crowns and veneers should be carefully evaluated with special consideration given to the tone and colour of your face and hair.

Alignment and Spacing: Teeth that are crooked, overlapping or have gaps between them can be straightened and aligned when necessary through Invisalign or improved with crowns/veneers.

Missing TeethOne or more missing teeth can negatively affect the appearance of your smile as well as affect your bite and increase your risk for tooth decay, making replacement an integral part of oral health and facial aesthetics. Regardless of the underlying cause there are different treatments for missing teeth, such as dental implants and bridges, available.

Harmony and Balance: Uneven, chipped and cracked teeth can be cosmetically bonded for an improved appearance, and a gummy smile can be re-contoured to help improve the overall look of the smile.

Highly skilled dentists will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan designed to achieve exactly what you want from your makeover. This treatment plan may consist of many cosmetic and functionally restorative procedures, potentially including teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers, dental crowns, orthodontics (braces), oral maxillofacial surgery and gummy smile reduction.

Zirconium Crowns

Advantages of Zirconium Crowns

A crown is a form of a dental restoration that covers a tooth or dental implant and is usually fixed to the tooth or abutment with dental adhesives. Crowns are made from various materials. Crowns may also be placed over a tooth to enhance the strength or physical appearance of teeth.

Zirconium crowns are now the most preferred material for dental crowns.

Zirconium is a very strong and reliable substance that can tolerate wear and tear of everyday use. Zirconium crowns are also better from an aesthetic point because it is translucent and looks very similar to a natural tooth as it reflects the light in a similar way. This is an important factor especially if the new crowns are at the front of the mouth and it is principally significant in cases where the crown will be placed in between natural teeth.

These crowns are so strong that they will not corrode and there will not be any black gum line that usually appears when porcelain fused metal crowns are used. Zirconium crowns also do not have any electrical conductivity so there will be no pain even while drinking hot or cold beverages.

There are many types of zirconium crowns being used, which are extremely exceptional products. These types of crowns have a good reputation for being durable and aesthetically beautiful. The technology involved with these products is highly advanced.

This is proof that zirconium crowns have the best aesthetic effect which is the most important factor especially when the crowns will be placed over teeth which are at the front of the mouth or will be placed beside a natural tooth.

The strength of Zirconium makes it also possible to manufacture crowns without metal frames. This is important because this will make it impossible to properly distinguish zirconium crowns from natural teeth.

The best feature about Zirconium crowns is that their sizes, shape and colour can be determined depending on patient needs; ensuring patients will be able to achieve a more natural smile.

Another advantage from other forms of dental aesthetic treatments is that they are biocompatible so there are no risks of any allergic reaction. As a matter of fact, Zirconium is now being used widely in general surgery and not just in dentistry.

One thing that makes Zirconium crown a little unattainable to most people is the cost. Zirconium is slightly more expensive than conventional materials and most manufacturers contend with creating crowns made from other materials. They use lower grade compounds just to be able to offer a more affordable product. It has been proven however, that crowns made of a cheaper material have insufficient resilience to withstand wear and tear of everyday use.

Dental Implants

Dental implants help restore your smile and boost your self-confidence. If you have missing or damaged teeth that need removing, then implants can provide a long lasting solution to your dental problems.

How is Implant Application performed?

Dental implant application is mostly done in two stages. In the first stage, the tooth is removed by local anesthesia and the gum ablation is performed. The bone thickness and length of the bone are important for implant application. In the second stage, dental screwing is performed on the root of the tooth.

Can implant application be performed at any age?

Age is not important for implant application as long as the person’s general health condition is good. However, implant application may not be preferred if the jaw bone structure of the patient is not completed.

When can the prosthesis be made after the implant?

The first stage of implantation is the process of performing the necessary examination and inserting the implant screw into the bone. After this process, the duration of the prosthesis may vary between 2-6 months depending on the age of the person and the quality of the jaw bone. You will be notified of this period after the examination by the dentist.

Can anyone get dental implants?

In most cases anyone, who is healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction or oral surgery and have healthy gums and enough bone to hold the implant, can be considered for a dental implant.  People with uncontrolled chronic disorders, such as diabetes or heart disease etc, need to be evaluated during the pre-treatment examination on an individual basis.

One of the conditions that should be evaluated during the pre-implant examinations is the measurement of the jaw bone of the patient. The jawbone width and depth should be enough to accommodate the implant screw. Otherwise, the jaw bone could not hold the implant screw and the implant application would fail. The hardness of the jawbone determines also the quality of the prosthesis.

How long do Dental Implants Actually Last?

Looking like and requiring only the maintenance given to natural teeth, dental implants are an excellent option for long-term tooth replacement. How long the dental implants normally last depends largely on the patient’s choices and overall dental hygiene. The modern technology used in dental implants in the last ten to twenty years have advanced to the point that implant failures due to rejection or functionality issues are now very rare. The implant screw itself can last a lifetime with good overall dental hygiene and regular dental check-ups.

All on Four

The All-on-4 Dental Implants Procedure uses four dental implants, with the back dental implants angulated to take maximum advantage of existing bone. Special dental implants, that could support the immediate fitting of replacement teeth, were also developed. This treatment is attractive to those with dentures or in need of full upper and/or lower restorations.

What is All-on-4?

With the All-on-4 Dental Implants Procedure, qualified patients receive just four dental implants and a full set of new replacement teeth in just one appointment without bone grafts! The real appeal is how quickly permanent implants can be placed so that patients can leave the same day with fixed, non-removable replacement teeth.

All-on-4 Technique provides one-day treatment to the patients on the same day without the need for advanced surgical techniques and applications, distinguishing this procedure from other techniques in dental treatments.

What is the difference between implant and all-on-4?

Traditional approaches to restoring a full arch of teeth usually involved bone grafts, six or more dental implants, and as long as 18 months of treatment. That meant that a patient often would be without any teeth or with ill-fitting temporary dentures for more than a year. All-on-4 Dental Implants patients always leave with teeth!

What are the advantages of all-on-4 implant applications?

It enables the patients to have their implants and prothesis performed on the same day without the need for advanced surgical techniques. Patients come with removable prosthesis and go home with fixed prosthesis in the evening of the same day.

This is very suitable for patients coming from abroad. The healing time of the operation is very short.

The cost is lower than conventional dental implant surgery costs. The desired smile aesthetics, laughing line and aesthetic appearance are remarkable.

Compared to conventional dental implants, it is easier to maintain and keep clean. It is very suitable for patients with nausea reflex. Since it does not include the palate of the patient, it is more comfortable and more comfortable to use.

Laminate Dental Veneers

Laminate Veneers, Composite bonding or porcelain veneers are for designing your smile. Both treatments achieve the same goal and design your smile. Veneers are special ceramic coatings that are attached to the front of your cracked, crooked, discolored or ill-shaped teeth.

Does composite bonding involve “drilling teeth down” or “injections”?

One of the best features of composite bonding is: There is no need to remove any tooth structure. This means there is no damage to your tooth. The other best feature of composite bonding treatment: This is a painless treatment. There is also no need to use any injections to make this treatment pain-free.

What is the difference between composite bonding and porcelain veneers?

For composite bonding our cosmetic dentist artistically carves the aesthetic composite resin material over your tooth surface in order to achieve the desired shape, size and colour. Composite veneer treatment is completed in one appointment (1-2 hours) and does not require any removal of your tooth & teeth structure. On the other hand, porcelain veneers are produced in a dental laboratory by our experienced laboratory technicians, using the best possible porcelain to manufacture contact-lens thin pieces of ceramic. Later on our cosmetic dentist glues the porcelain veneer on your tooth surface. Approximately 3 appointments are needed for porcelain veneer treatments.

Porcelain veneers last around 10 years. Composite veneers last on average 3-8 years. Porcelain veneer prices may vary depending on the laboratory. Please kindly contact us for the best pricing and treatment options.

How long does composite bonding last?

On average composite bonding lasts 3 – 8 years, depending on how well you take care of your teeth. In order to make sure your smile stays beautiful and your gums stay healthy for many years after your treatment, we recommend regular dentist check-ups every 6 month.

My teeth are crooked! Can I get composite bonding or composite veneers?

The answer to your question depends on the level of crowding of your teeth. Based on your treatment goals and expectations, the dentist will tell you the best treatment plan for you during your consultation. If you would like to repair your crooked teeth and improve the appearance of your teeth, composite bonding is a fast, painless and affordable option for you.

This short-to-medium-term fix option is considered minimally invasive, because just a small amount of healthy tooth reduction is required to properly bind the composite bonding material to your tooth surface. Composite veneers are most commonly used to correct flaws and imperfections, such as mild crowding/crooked, uneven, gapped/spaced or discoloured teeth in just 1 to 2 hours.

Porcelain Crowns

Dental crowns, often referred to as "caps," are a remarkable dental solution that can do wonders for your smile. These artificial teeth encase and fully surround an existing tooth or dental implant. When teeth are extensively decayed, contain gaps, exhibit discoloration, misalignment, or have undergone substantial previous restorations, dental crowns emerge as the optimal treatment choice.

Porcelain crowns play a dual role in enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of teeth. They offer a comprehensive, robust solution due to their complete encasement of the tooth. This feature sets them apart from other dental restoration methods like laminate veneers or composite restorations, enabling us to make more effective adjustments to tooth positioning.

Moreover, dental crowns boast exceptional durability, surpassing other restoration types. The longevity and transformative capabilities of porcelain crowns make them a top choice for restoring both the beauty and strength of your teeth.

Laser Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is carried out by applying a specially prepared gel onto the surface of teeth and accelerating the reaction with a light source. In most techniques it gives very positive results which are noticeable within a few hours to a few days and can last up to 6 months.

What is Inner Teeth Whitening?

It is applied by the dentist to the teeth that have lost their vitality. If the teeth have been exposed to a trauma before or if discoloration has occurred after root canal treatment, whitening is achieved by placing gel inside the teeth.

Who can teeth whitening be applied to?

Almost everyone! However, there are some situations where treatment may not be effective. Your dentist will determine whether the teeth are suitable for this procedure with a complete intraoral examination and evaluation. If your teeth are healthy, it is an ideal solution for a whiter and natural smile.

What is Outside Teeth Whitening?

It is applied by activating the whitening paste on the teeth by the dentist with a light source. The lips are isolated and the gums are covered with a special barrier. When whitening with a normal light device, the sessions last approximately 30-45 minutes and the result can be observed immediately. The duration of the treatment depends on the dentist and the degree of whiteness desired by the patient to the extent that it will not damage the tooth.

In cases where the light device is a laser, results are obtained in one session as a result of the session lasting approximately 1 hour.

The bleaching process has no effect on fillings and veneers. For this reason, they should be renewed according to the newly obtained tooth color. The whitening process is a reversible process depending on time and the patient habits. Therefore, it should be renewed periodically.

This procedure, which is very simple to apply by the patient and the dentist, has no long-term complications. Therefore, instead of hiding our smiles, we all have the right to display a bright smile that can be obtained with such an easy process. In addition, it has been proven that the whitening process has benefits on oral and dental health.

How long do whitened teeth stay white?

Teeth whitened with different bleaching methods stay white for a few years. But this time varies from person to person. Eating and drinking habits, smoking and brushing habits affect the whiteness of the teeth.

It should be noted that bleaching may not always provide the whiteness you want. The whitening rate depends on the tone of your teeth before the whitening process and varies from person to person. Therefore, you should discuss your expectations with your dentist in advance.

Teeth Whitening or teeth bleaching, although a widely applied procedure in general dentistry, is actually in the field of Aesthetic/Cosmetic Dentistry.

Since white teeth are associated with youth, it is highly desired by people who want to be aesthetically pleasing. However, we should point out that an exaggerated whiteness may not be aesthetic in most cases. The natural tone that matches your face and mouth structure will always be more aesthetic.

Invisalign System

If you struggle to smile comfortably due to the appearance of your teeth and do not want to wear braces to solve this problem, invisalign could be the solution for you. Thanks to Invisalign treatments, you can now correct alignment and positioning issues of your teeth without having to have a fixed metal or ceramic brace. Invisalign is more comfortable and the removable applicators mean that it isn’t something you have to wear all the time.

What are Invisalign braces?

If you have been looking into orthodontic treatments, you may have come across Invisalign before and wondered what it’s all about. It is generally acknowledged that whilst braces help to improve your smile in the long run, one of their main drawbacks is their appearance in the short run. The convenience and easy use of the Invisalign system have made it the choice for many people. Invisalign is one of the dental services we offer to patients who want to straighten their teeth and smile, fit their bites and improve their oral health. Invisalign aligners are not only invisible but comfortable and easily removable for daily oral hygiene and routine dental care.

How is Invisalign done?

Thanks to Clear-Aligner, invisalign and orthoclear technology, crooked teeth can be corrected with invisible transparent plaques without the use of brackets. During this treatment, the palates, which are designed in a computer environment, are set-up around 3 times per month and replaced for periods such as 1 and 2 weeks, allowing the teeth to reach the desired ideal position.

How long do invisalign treatments take?

The time needed for Invisalign to work its magic will depend on the severity of the patients’ case. This means that cost will also vary from patient to patient as some people will need many aligners and others will require just a few.

What is included in Invisalign Programme?

Invisalign offers the complete cosmetic orthodontic programme. We will begin with the most important part of straightening your teeth with the series of Invisalign aligners. After this stage has been completed, we will whiten your teeth (if required), followed by any re-contouring (if required) in order to give you that perfect smile!

You will then have the choice of having removable or bonded retainers to help maintain your new smile. This is already included in your treatment plan. We prefer the bonded retainers as they will be discretely hidden on the backs of your teeth, which are great for vanity and aesthetic reasons, and it also means there isn’t any chance of taking out your retainers to eat and breaking them, which can be common with removable retainers).
